During a PaintEvent one of our local artists supports you in creating your very own masterpiece (for you to take home). The goal is to create a fun and stress-free environment for you to slow down and let your creativity flow. \n  \nAbout the workshop:\n  \nWe are more than happy to welcome Alena to be our guest host for this special watercolor event. Together we will paint this beautiful painting using wet on wet technique. The process is broken down into easy steps. The wet paint is laid on wet or damp paper\, the colours flow and blend into one another in beautiful\, unexpected ways\, creating a diffused effect. Let your creativity flow! \n  \n• One Glass of Prosecco/Soft drink is included   \n• No Prior Painting Experience Necessary – Step by Step Guidance through the whole process. \n• Frist time or frequent painters – all kind of questions are more than welcome! Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils. \n• Upgrade Options: Want to create larger artworks or additional ones? Check out our UPGRADE pricelist for action painting. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. As usual\, the event host will guide you step by step through the painting while you are free to choose another color or canvas size. \n  \nAbout the theme:\nClaude Monet was the leader of the French Impressionist movement. Interested in painting in the open air and capturing natural light. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere\, his work often achieved a remarkable degree of abstraction. \nFrom 1883\, Monet lived in Giverny\, where he purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies\, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life. \nPlease note: Unlike our standard guided PaintEvents (mostly 2hrs)\, the instructions here are verbal. DESCRIPTION:— Deutsch — \n  \nDie Künstlerin Janka zeigt in ihrem STRUCTURES Workshop\, wie sie mit verschiedensten Strukturpasten und Salz auf Leinwand malt. Sie zeigt vor\, wie die Strukturpasten und das Salz mit Acrylfarbe und Tinte eingefärbt werden und mit dem Spachtel in den zuvor gemalten Farbverlauf hinein gearbeitet werden. Die verschiedensten Strukturen; trocken bis flüssig\, fein bis grobkörnig\, matt bis glänzend\, bieten alle eine zusätzliche faszinierende\, haptische und etwas dreidimensionale Ebene zur Farbkomposition und Formgebung. Bei der abstrakten Malerei spielt die eigene Farbpalette eine wichtige Rolle und wird hier in der seriellen Arbeitsweise auf zwei Leinwänden von der Künstlerin angeleitet\, individuell erarbeitet. Eingefärbte Struktur-Schichten werden solange hinzugefügt\, bis die Kompositionen stimmig werden. Die Werke können schlussendlich an etwas ganz Natürliches wie zum Beispiel Gesteine in den Gebirgen oder an Rost-Effekte erinnern\, bleiben aber natürlich ein sehr offenes abstraktes Bild.  \nDies ist kein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. She demonstrates how the structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid\, fine to coarse grained\, matte to glossy\, all offer an additional fascinating\, tactile and  a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting\, one’s own color palette plays an important role and is here individually focused on in the serial way of working on two canvases guided by the artist. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works can finally remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects\, but of course they remain open abstract paintings.  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). The goal of the Mandala is to serve as a tool on our spiritual journey as it symbolizes cosmic and psychic order. \nIn many spiritual practices\, a Mandala represents the entire Universe. In more modern Jungian psychology\, the symbol stands for an effort to reunify the self. \nThe “sacred circle” of the Mandala is found throughout nature and in most aspects of our lives. The universe is permeated with circles and spirals – from the plants\, the sun and its orbital/spiral nature\, the cycle of the seasons\, flowers\, seeds\, trees\, and so much more – even down to the cell itself and the orbital nature of the atoms. \nDrawing and painting your Mandala is about connecting with your inner being and letting yourself guided by whatever wants to get into the light. \nDesigning your own Mandala is a beautiful way of entering an altered state of consciousness. Benefits include an increased sense of wellbeing\, calmness\, clarity\, emotional stability\, wholeness\, creativity and understanding. Mandalas are also said to carry their own special kind of vibrational energy. Therefore\, they can be used for the enhancement of mental\, emotional\, physical and spiritual health. \nAdditionally\, it is said that the Mandala has a healing energy that it gives off and can be measured 10 feet out. Many people state\, “I don’t know what it is – I just feel a calmness in looking at this (Mandala).” Perhaps that is the part of connection to “wholeness” within. Some Mandalas are specifically for the ‘concentration’ or ‘focus’ on them – a form of meditation\, which is\, once again\, for the quiet and healing aspects that come from reconnection to one’s true Self. \nLearning how to draw your own Mandala is a deeply absorbing\, meditative practice. In fact\, the hardest part of the day will be choosing which of these many textures to choose\, but don’t worry – we will be there\, every step of the way (encouraging you to add more glitter!) \nIndulge your artistic desires with our mesmerizing Resin Geode Art Workshop. Fun\, fabulous and totally addictive\, you’ll make 2 pieces of agate inspired wall art with us and\, what’s more\, it’s perfect for beginners and those looking to explore adding texture to their resin art. \nWonderfully therapeutic and oh so much fun\, our resin geode workshop offers a creative opportunity for all to create abstract pieces of art topped with handfuls of luscious textures. \nYou have the option of taking your masterpieces home with you or we can package and ship them to you a few days later. \n  \nWhat you will learn:\n  \n\nCreate stunning geode art using a variety of dynamic pouring techniques\nMeasure\, mix and add colour to your resin\nCreate uniformed free pours\nManipulate the resin to create different visual effects\, including using floating metal techniques\nEncourage pigment interactions such as cell formation\nAdd oodles of embellishments such as crustal chippings\, nuggets and flakes\nAchieve a perfect finish\, removing any bubbles that appear\nUse tips\, trade secrets and techniques\nMake use of leftover resin\n\n  \n• No Prior Painting Experience Necessary. If it’s your very first time painting\, you might wanna calculate a bit more time to finish the painting. Also\, we recommend to skip a detail or two and/or call for assistance when you need! \n• Step by Step Instructions\, but you are always welcome to paint something else! \n• 2 wooden boards (23x23cm\, 0.5cm thick) and all Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price \n• Medium: Premium alcohol ink and resin materials . \n• Language of Instruction: English \n• Duration of the Event: ca 3hrs \n  \nImportant: For optimal drying process and avoiding any changes to your painting\, we recommend that you leave your artwork in the studio at least overnight and pick it up at later. DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch —(EN below) \n  \nUnd… ACTION! Erlebe beim Action Painting eine befreiende und kreative Auszeit\nDiesen Workshop wollen wir Euch bereits seit geraumer Zeit anbieten. Mit dem neuen Studio an der Limmatstrasse 73 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Dennoch empfehlen wir Euch\, nicht in Eurer feinsten Kleidung zu kommen. \n• Bitte bringt ein Paar alte Socken oder nehmt in Kauf\, dass Eure Socken etwas farbig werden. \n• Inklusivmaterial: 1 Stk. 30x40cm Leinwand zum Üben. 1 Stk. 40x50cm Leinwand. Alle Farben und Utensilien. \n• Upgrade-Optionen: Du möchtest grössere Formate erstellen? Schau Dir unsere Upgrade Preisliste fürs Action Painting an. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils. \n• Upgrade Options: Want to create larger artworks or additional ones? Check out our UPGRADE pricelist for action painting. Upgrades to 50x70cm are generally always possible; larger formats might not be possible in fully booked sessions but you can always check with your artist. \n• Duration: approx. 2 to 2.5h \n• Note: Most likely your artworks won’t be dry enough to be safely transported at the end of the session.
