DESCRIPTION:–Künsterlin/Artist– \n[tlpteam id=”25480″ title=”Janka”]\n\n\n \nTo see more AFLOAT artworks by Janka Stemmle \n  \nIMPORTANT: This event is taking place at our new studio at Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich.\nWICHTIG: Dieser event findet in unserem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich statt.\n\n\n— Deutsch — \nDie Künstlerin Janka Stemmle wird am AFLOAT Workshop ihre Herangehensweise an die faszinierende FLUID ART Technik\, die ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit AFLOAT zugrunde liegt\, zeigen. \nDas was AFLOAT ausmacht beginnt beim Kreieren der benötigten flüssigen Konsistenz der Acrylfarbe mitsamt dem Experimentieren damit. Die Acrylfarben werden mit recht viel Wasser verdünnt\, nacheinander in einen gemeinsamen Plastikbecher gegossen\, wobei ein paar Tropfen Silikonöl hinzugefügt werden. Der Becher wird entweder mit der DIRTY-POUR oder der FLIP-CUP Methode auf einen festen Untergrund\, hier auf drei Holzplatten und eine Leinwand\, geleert oder umgekehrt. Als Untergrund verwendet die Künstlerin selbst ebenso Glas und Karton. Nun kommt der allerbeste Moment\, indem die Farben beginnen miteinander zu reagieren\, wobei ganz eigene abstrakte Formgebungen\, die an Zellen oder andersartige organische oder astronomische Motive erinnern. Die Künstlerin greift subtil ein\, indem sie den Untergrund etwas kippt und mit der Nutzung von Strohhalmen oder einem Föhn und einem Bunsenbrenner Luft und Wärme Veränderungen erzeugt. Die Arbeiten verändern sich bis sie ganz getrocknet sind wie von alleine weiter. \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n— English — \nThe artist Janka Stemmle will show at the AFLOAT Workshop her own approach to the fascinating FLUID ART technique that lies behind her artistic work AFLOAT. \nAFLOAT starts with creating the required liquid consistency of the acrylic paints including experimenting with it. To do so the acrylic paints need to be mixed with plenty of water. Then all colors are poured one by one into one common plastic cup whereat a few drops of silicone oil is added. The cup is poured on a solid surface\, here on three wood boards and one canvas\, either with the DIRTY-POUR or the FLIP-CUP method. As a background the artist also uses glass and cardboard. Now the very best moment appears when the colors begin to react with each other. Very unique abstract shapes emerge reminding of cell structures or any other organic or astronomical motives. The artist intervenes in a subtle way by tilting the surface a bit and using either a straw or a hairdryer and a heat gun to influence the painting with air and heat changes. The paintings still change from itself until they are completely dried. \nThis is not a classical event with step-by-step instructions for one particular painting. Instead\, Janka will show the AFLOAT technique\, so you can create two of your own unique paintings and mainly have fun with this special painting method that awakens curiosity. \n No prior Painting experience necessary\n All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price.\n Material: 2 different formats of wooden boards (1x 15x23x0.5ccm & 1x 30x40x0.5cm)\, Fluetrol\, Silicone Oil from our Online Shop  & premium Acrylic paint by Fleury-Art.ch\n Language of Instruction: English & German\n Additional canvases 20x20cm or 25x30cm available on request (12-15CHF)\n New: We will provide boxes to take your paintings home right away. Erlebe beim Action Painting eine befreiende und kreative Auszeit\nDiesen Workshop wollen wir Euch bereits seit geraumer Zeit anbieten. Mit dem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin Eliza startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\n Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Dennoch empfehlen wir Euch\, nicht in Eurer feinsten Kleidung zu kommen.\n Bitte bringt ein Paar alte Socken oder nehmt in Kauf\, dass Eure Socken etwas farbig werden.\n Inklusivmaterial: 1 Stk. 30x40cm Leinwand zum Üben. 1 Stk. 40x50cm Leinwand. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Zeughausstrasse 31\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist Eliza will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required.\n We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing.\n Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored.\n Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils.\n Upgrade Options: Want to create a larger piece instead of the 40x50cm canvas? We almost always have the following sizes in stock: 50x70cm (+15 CHF)\, 60x80cm (+20 CHF). The process is broken down into easy steps. The wet paint is laid on wet or damp paper\, the colours flow and blend into one another in beautiful\, unexpected ways\, creating a diffused effect. The goal of the Mandala is to serve as a tool on our spiritual journey as it symbolizes cosmic and psychic order. \nIn many spiritual practices\, a Mandala represents the entire Universe. In more modern Jungian psychology\, the symbol stands for an effort to reunify the self. \nThe “sacred circle” of the Mandala is found throughout nature and in most aspects of our lives. The universe is permeated with circles and spirals – from the plants\, the sun and its orbital/spiral nature\, the cycle of the seasons\, flowers\, seeds\, trees\, and so much more – even down to the cell itself and the orbital nature of the atoms. \nDrawing and painting your Mandala is about connecting with your inner being and letting yourself guided by whatever wants to get into the light. \nDesigning your own Mandala is a beautiful way of entering an altered state of consciousness. Benefits include an increased sense of wellbeing\, calmness\, clarity\, emotional stability\, wholeness\, creativity and understanding. Mandalas are also said to carry their own special kind of vibrational energy. Therefore\, they can be used for the enhancement of mental\, emotional\, physical and spiritual health. \nAdditionally\, it is said that the Mandala has a healing energy that it gives off and can be measured 10 feet out. Many people state\, “I don’t know what it is – I just feel a calmness in looking at this (Mandala).” Perhaps that is the part of connection to “wholeness” within. Some Mandalas are specifically for the ‘concentration’ or ‘focus’ on them – a form of meditation\, which is\, once again\, for the quiet and healing aspects that come from reconnection to one’s true Self. \nLearning how to draw your own Mandala is a deeply absorbing\, meditative practice. Not only does it unleash your inner artist\, but creating your own Mandala can produce deeper insights into your life. \nLearn how to let go of preconceived ideas about what your Mandala is supposed to look like\, and simply allow your intuition and curiosity to lead the way. \nHighlights: \n\n\nDrawing and Painting\, use the Compass /Zirkel\, Create Patterns\, choose colors \n\n\nLearn how to start end develop a Mandala design \n\n\nLearn how to apply golden leaf on your Mandala/paintings \n\n\nConnect with body\, mind and spirit before we start painting \n\n\nExplore the intention behind your Mandala \n\n\nExpress your feelings and emotions through symbols \n\n\nCreate your personal and unique meditation tool \n\n\nThis is not a typical “guided event”.
