You can work with colors\, dots\, lines\, shapes and textures and create a personal visual rhythm in a painting but you can also feel free and work in the intuitive way\, gestural\, you also can explore all different kinds of techniques. \nThe workshop series include six sections: Grisaille\, Layering\, Blending\, Sgraffito\, Stippling and Wet on Wet\, at each section you will learn a specific technique which will help you to achieve a new level for your abstract learning process …… on every second Monday\, Rolando\, our friend\, host and artist from Cuba is looking forward to assist you to enjoy this new creative experience.You don’t necessarily need to participate the workshops in sequence. Every workshop is an individual section. \nAbout Today’s workshop –Stippling \nStippling is a great dotting technique where you add your paint in dots onto your canvas or surface. To create these dots of color you can use multiple types of tools from q-tips\, the backside of your paint brush handle\, paint markers or specialized dotting tools. \nThis event is limited to a maximum of 10 people per session to ensure a calm atmosphere and optimal guidance. \nFind more about Rolando’s work here. \nPlease note: This is not a typical “guided event”. There will be no step-by-step instructions for a particular painting. Instead\, Rolando will show you techniques and tricks and encourage you to paint intuitively and freely. Also\, this event takes place during our studio opening hours\, we might have some open painting guests as well at the other table. \n No prior Painting experience necessary\, we’ll provide options for all levels\n 1 canvas and all Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price. Erlebe beim Action Painting eine befreiende und kreative Auszeit\nDiesen Workshop wollen wir Euch bereits seit geraumer Zeit anbieten. Mit dem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin Eliza startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\n Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist Eliza will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). As usual\, the event host will guide you through the painting while you are free to choose another color or canvas size. \nAbout the theme: \nClaude Monet was the leader of the French Impressionist movement. Interested in painting in the open air and capturing natural light. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere\, his work often achieved a remarkable degree of abstraction. \nFrom 1883\, Monet lived in Giverny\, where he purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies\, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life. \nPlease note: Unlike our standard guided PaintEvents (mostly 2hrs)\, the instructions here are verbal. Rolando is happy to provide visual instructions (demonstration on a canvas) as well if needed. \n Level: Options for many levels provided. Sie zeigt vor\, wie die Strukturpasten und das Salz mit Acrylfarbe und Tinte eingefärbt werden und mit dem Spachtel in den zuvor gemalten Farbverlauf hinein gearbeitet werden. Die verschiedensten Strukturen; trocken bis flüssig\, fein bis grobkörnig\, matt bis glänzend\, bieten alle eine zusätzliche faszinierende\, haptische und etwas dreidimensionale Ebene zur Farbkomposition und Formgebung. Bei der abstrakten Malerei spielt die eigene Farbpalette eine wichtige Rolle und wird hier in der seriellen Arbeitsweise auf zwei Leinwänden von der Künstlerin angeleitet\, individuell erarbeitet. Eingefärbte Struktur-Schichten werden solange hinzugefügt\, bis die Kompositionen stimmig werden. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n— English — \nThe artist Angelika shows at her STRUCTURES workshop how she paints with a variety of texture pastes and salt on canvas. She demonstrates how the structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid\, fine to coarse grained\, matte to glossy\, all offer an additional fascinating\, tactile and  a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting\, one’s own color palette plays an important role and is here individually focused on in the serial way of working on two canvases guided by the artist. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works can finally remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects\, but of course they remain open abstract paintings.  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. Instead\, Angelika will explain this technique in a way that you can create your very own paintings on canvas and\, most importantly\, be able to ground yourself during this meditative like process and just let your creativity flow.  \n The event is suitable for everyone\, no previous experience is required.\n All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price.\n 2 canvases (20×20 and 30x40cm) and all materials will be provided by us and are included in the price\n Material: structure pastes from Gerstaecker and high quality acrylic paints from Fleury-Art.ch and acrylic inks\n Language: depending on the group English or German\n You can take your paintings home in a paper bag (dried paintings) or a pizza box (wet paintings)\n We will start the instructions at 11AM\, please come a few minutes ahead of time. Be mesmerised by the incredible effects created when resin and alcohol inks combine on ceramic tiles. You can create both pretty and practical pieces such as coasters. But be warned – it can be addictive!  You’ll love watching the inks react with the resin to make the intricate shapes and details. It’s a very relaxing process. \nOur class will cover the basics of the resin and alcohol ink techniques and inspire you to go on and create your own amazing mini artworks. Stare into the intricate details and it’s like the whole galaxy right there in your resin. Or like looking at life under the microscope. People really are fascinated by how these look\, and you will be too. \nEven if you’ve never used resin or alcohol inks before\, everything you need to know is covered in the class. It’s fun\, easy\, relaxing and rewarding. \n\nWhat you will learn:\n\nLearn how to create amazing 3d art pieces using resin and alcohol inks\nMake coasters or small art pieces so you can go create large and spectacular pieces with practice\nPlay with color\, have fun and learn to use new materials\nMake examples with blooming inks\, glitter and swirls\n\n No Prior Painting Experience Necessary.
