Flowers and Mandala Workshop with Ana Paz
November 20 @ 13:00 - 17:00CHF120 – CHF130
A Workshop on Painting Flowers in an Impressionistic Style
Nature is the primordial art form that awakens aesthetic inspiration and wonder.
In Nature we can experience the “fabric” of life through our full senses and the interconnectedness of all its parts. Nurturing our relationship with nature provides an endless source of balance and artistic inspiration.
Ana paints wild flowers, idyllic nature and its expressive disorder in movement.
Her way of painting is in an impressionist fashion with free access to imagination, to improvisation and to fantasy. Each canvas is as much a result of randomness, as it is a product of planned brush strokes and striates of colors and washes.
This is how it ends up acquiring its unique soul.
It is a landscape upon which you can rest and let your imagination run freely. As an option, you can add Mandalas to your painting.
In this course you will learn:
- How to draw flowers
- How to paint flowers (insights about lights and shadows)
- Choosing the right colors
- Paint an abstract background – different techniques
- Insights about: color theory , texture, shapes, contrast, composition,
- Building complexity layer by layer
- Deciding when the painting is finished
This is not a typical “guided event”. There will be no step-by-step instructions for a particular painting. Instead, Ana will show you some techniques and tricks and encourage you to paint intuitively and freely.
No prior Painting experience necessary
