If your intention is to overcome creative blocks, or you’re simply curious to hear about the topic of inner blocks – painting related or not – you’re are more to welcome to join Ana’s talk!

Fee: This talk will be free as well as coffee and tea! However, if you like what you hear and you can afford it, donations are highly appreciated.

After the talk, the studio will be open until 18:00 for a New Year freestyle painting special. It works as our regular open painting sessions, but you can paint any medium up to the size of 30x40cm canvas or watercolor paper for 12CHF only. Tickets are available at the very bottom.

About the Talk: Overcoming Creative Blocks in Your Art and Creativity

How many times does an artist stare at a blank piece of paper thinking: “What on earth do I paint? Where do I put my first mark? What should I do next?”

Sometimes the artistic self wants to express itself creatively, but doesn’t know where to begin. Or sometimes it has begun but then finds itself stuck due to fear, anxiety, old and unaware beliefs or a seemingly block of creative flow or ideas.

I’ve discovered that the reason more people don’t express themselves is not because they can’t — but because they don’t realize how universal their fears are, how necessary their work is in the world or just how beneficial it is to express themselves freely through any medium they choose. 

What Are The Perils?

The perils are: fear, vulnerability, self doubt, second guessing, overthinking, self criticism, paralysis, creative block, just to name a few. In my talk and through easy exercises I will break down some of the fears and beliefs which stop us from creating, such as:

• I am not creative (I am not creative enough) 
• I don’t have talent (I am not talented enough) 
• I am not good enough
• I am not doing (painting, drawing, etc) it perfect
• I am not good at starting something new
• I am afraid of doing something (painting, drawing, etc.)  wrong
• I am afraid of being rejected if someone does not like my artwork 
• I don’t want to be criticized 
• I am afraid of being/expressing my true self
• I don’t know which is my style, I don’t find my style
• I don’t like to deal with the ambiguity 
• I don’t get into “the flow”, I don’t know how
• etc.

As an artist, I have always felt being called to explore the relationships between creation and consciousness, evolution, science and philosophy.

As a teacher and guide, I have developed my own multi-faceted approach to healing and to creativity that is enriched with holistic depth. My approach focuses on how creative expression can shift perceptions, change behaviours and help integrate new insights.
