DESCRIPTION:— English — \n  \nEnjoy a Creative and Relaxing PaintEvent in Zurich!\n  \nIn our “Paint Like” Events\, selected paintings are recreations of works by artists from various times. As usual\, the event host will guide you through the painting while you are free to choose another color or canvas size. \n  \nAbout the theme:\n  \nClaude Monet was the leader of the French Impressionist movement. Interested in painting in the open air and capturing natural light. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere\, his work often achieved a remarkable degree of abstraction. \nFrom 1883\, Monet lived in Giverny\, where he purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies\, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life. \nPlease note: Unlike our standard guided PaintEvents\, the instructions here are verbal. Rolando is happy to provide visual instructions (demonstration on a canvas) as well if needed. \n  \n • Level: Options for many levels provided. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n— Deutsch — \nKomm zu uns und lerne die magische Kunst des Harzes kennen\, ein vielseitiges Medium\, mit dem sich atemberaubende\, glänzende und lebendige Kunstwerke schaffen lassen. Für diesen Workshop sind keine Vorkenntnisse erforderlich. Er eignet sich für alle\, die gerne basteln und neue Formen des kreativen Ausdrucks erkunden möchten. Du verlässt den Workshop mit einem wunderschönen Kunstwerk aus Kunstharz\, das du selbst geschaffen hast\, und mit dem Wissen und dem Selbstvertrauen\, deine Kunstreise mit Kunstharz zu Hause fortzusetzen. \n  \nLernpunkte:\n1. Einführung in die Kunst mit Resin: Lerne die Grundlagen der Harzkunst und ihre Möglichkeiten kennen und verstehe die Sicherheitsmaßnahmen bei der Arbeit mit Harz. \n2. Verstehen der Materialien: Mache dich mit den verschiedenen Arten von Harzen\, Pigmenten\, Glitzern und Werkzeugen vertraut\, die bei diesem Prozess verwendet werden. \n3. Mischen und Gießen des Harzes: Lerne das richtige Mischungsverhältnis von Harz und Härter sowie die richtigen Gießtechniken\, um Blasen zu vermeiden und eine glatte\, glänzende Oberfläche zu erzielen. \n4. Färben und Verzierungen: Entdecke\, wie du dem Harz Farben\, Glitter und andere Materialien hinzufügen und wie du diese für verschiedene visuelle Effekte schichten kannst. \n5. Fertigstellung und Aushärtung: Lerne den Aushärtungsprozess kennen und erfahre\, wie du Probleme wie klebrige oder unebene Oberflächen beheben und wie du dein Werkstück für ein professionelles Aussehen fertigstellen kannst. \n6. Grundlegende Pflege und Wartung: Lerne\, wie du deine Kunstwerke aus Kunstharz pflegen kannst\, damit sie über Jahre hinweg lebendig und schön aussehen. \n  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird Anastasia diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie zwei eigene Kreationen aus Kunstharz erstellen können und vor allem während dieses dynamischen und gleichzeitig sehr ruhigen Prozesses sehr präsent und bei sich sein können. \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen \n• Am Schluss hast du ​zwei Kunstwerke aus Kunstharz\, ​die über Nacht trocknen müssen.​ Dafür bieten wir zwei Schachteln an\, mit denen die Bilder direkt mit nach Hause genommen werden können. Diese müssen horizontal transportiert werden\, können aber ohne Probleme mit in den ÖV genommen werden (vergleichbar mit 2 Pizza-Schachteln). \n• Material: Verschiedene Farbpigmente\, verschiedene Kunstharz Einfärbemittel von EliChem\, Acrylfarben\, Glitzer und Alkohol Tinten\, zwei MDF Platten (23x23cm und 24x30cm) und MasterCast Kunstharz ungiftig frei von Lösungsmitteln für eine einfache und sichere Anwendung von EliChem erhältlich direkt über unseren Online Shop. \n• Wissenswertes: Beim Arbeiten mit Kunstharz werden immer Plastikhandschuhe gebraucht\, damit die Hände vom Abmessen bis zum fertigen Kunstwerk geschützt sind\, ausgenommen wenn Hahrföhn zum Manipulieren und Bunsenbrenner zum Versiegeln verwendet werden. Der Raum wird während dem Arbeiten mit Kunstharz immer gut durchlüftet. Eine Atemschutzmaske braucht es an diesem Kurs mit der gebrauchten kleinen Menge an Kunstharz im sehr grossräumigen Atelier mit einer auf 10 Teilnehmer begrenzte Anzahl nicht. Sie wäre nur dann wichtig\, wenn anschliessend mit ganz grossen Bildern zu Hause weiter experimentiert wird. Obwohl unser Resin zertifiziert ungiftig ist\, raten wir schwangeren Frauen vorsichtshalber von der Teilnahme ab. \n• Das Event wird auf Deutsch und Englisch geleitet. Instead\, Anastasia will explain this technique so you can create two of your own creations from resin and mainly be completely present during this dynamic and in the same time very calm process. \n  \n• No prior Painting experience necessary \n• All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price. \n• In the end you have two paintings made of resin that have to dry overnight.​ ​We will provide boxes so you can take your paintings home right away. They need to be transported horizontally but it should be no problem to take them on public transport. \n• Material: different color pigments\, various resin colorants from EliChem\, acrylic paints\, glitter and alcohol inks\, two MDF plates (23x23cm and 24x30cm) and MasterCast resin non-toxic free from solvents for easy and safe application by EliChem directly available at our Online Shop. \n• Good to know: Plastic gloves are always needed when working with resin from measuring to finished paintings to protect hands\, except when using hair dryers for manipulation and heat guns for sealing the paintings. The room is always well ventilated while working with resin. A breathing mask is not needed at this workshop based on the small amount of resin used in our very spacious studio with a number limited to 10 participants. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch — \n  \nDie Künstlerin Janka wird am AFLOAT Workshop ihre Herangehensweise an die faszinierende FLUID ART Technik\, die ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit AFLOAT zugrunde liegt\, zeigen. \nDas was AFLOAT ausmacht beginnt beim Kreieren der benötigten flüssigen Konsistenz der Acrylfarbe mitsamt dem Experimentieren damit. Die Acrylfarben werden mit recht viel Wasser verdünnt\, nacheinander in einen gemeinsamen Plastikbecher gegossen\, wobei ein paar Tropfen Silikonöl hinzugefügt werden. Der Becher wird entweder mit der DIRTY-POUR oder der FLIP-CUP Methode auf einen festen Untergrund\, hier auf drei Holzplatten und eine Leinwand\, geleert oder umgekehrt. Als Untergrund verwendet die Künstlerin selbst ebenso Glas und Karton. Nun kommt der allerbeste Moment\, indem die Farben beginnen miteinander zu reagieren\, wobei ganz eigene abstrakte Formgebungen\, die an Zellen oder andersartige organische oder astronomische Motive erinnern. Die Künstlerin greift subtil ein\, indem sie den Untergrund etwas kippt und mit der Nutzung von Strohhalmen oder einem Föhn und einem Bunsenbrenner Luft und Wärme Veränderungen erzeugt. Die Arbeiten verändern sich bis sie ganz getrocknet sind wie von alleine weiter. \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n  \n— English — \n  \nThe artist Janka will show at the AFLOAT Workshop her own approach to the fascinating FLUID ART technique that lies behind her artistic work AFLOAT. \nAFLOAT starts with creating the required liquid consistency of the acrylic paints including experimenting with it. To do so the acrylic paints need to be mixed with plenty of water. Then all colors are poured one by one into one common plastic cup whereat a few drops of silicone oil is added. The cup is poured on a solid surface\, here on three wood boards and one canvas\, either with the DIRTY-POUR or the FLIP-CUP method. As a background the artist also uses glass and cardboard. Now the very best moment appears when the colors begin to react with each other. Very unique abstract shapes emerge reminding of cell structures or any other organic or astronomical motives. The artist intervenes in a subtle way by tilting the surface a bit and using either a straw or a hairdryer and a heat gun to influence the painting with air and heat changes. The paintings still change from itself until they are completely dried. \nThis is not a classical event with step-by-step instructions for one particular painting. Instead\, Janka will show the AFLOAT technique\, so you can create three of your own unique paintings and mainly have fun with this special painting method that awakens curiosity. \n  \n • No prior Painting experience necessary \n• All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price. \n• Material: 2 different formats of wooden boards (1x 24x30x0.5ccm\, 1x 15x23x0.5cm)\, Fluetrol\, Silicone Oil from our Online Shop  & premium Acrylic paint by Fleury-Art.ch \n• Language of Instruction: English & German \n• Additional canvases 20x20cm or 25x30cm available on request (12-15CHF) \n• New: We will provide boxes to take your paintings home right away. Es werden mehrere Schichten von Harz in verschiedenen Blautönen gegossen werden und anschliessend wird mit einer weissen Schicht abgeschlossen. Diese Schicht manipuliert Ihr dann mit Luft und Schwerkraft bis Sie an Meeresschaum erinnert. Dieses Beach-Motiv eignet sich perfekt\, um Resin-Kunst zu entdecken: Die Klarheit\, Konsistenz und der Glanz von Resin geben das Aussehen von Wasser auf eine Weise wieder\, die man mit keinem anderen Medium erreichen kann. Unsere Künstlerin wird Euch zeigen\, wie einfach es ist\, Eure eigene atemberaubende Ozean-Landschaft zu erschaffen. \n  \n\n\n\n\n• Perfekt für Anfänger: Keine vorherige Erfahrung mit Resin notwendig. \n• Alle Materialien werden gestellt und sind im Ticketpreis enthalten. \n• Material: 1 Holzleinwand (25cm Durchmesser) und MasterCast Resin von EliChem (ungiftig und frei von Lösungsmitteln für eine einfache und sichere Anwendung\, auch in unserem Online Shop erhältlich)\, verschiedene Farbpigmente. \n• Wichtig: Um eine optimale Trocknung ohne Verfliessen zu garantieren\, empfehlen wir\, dass Ihr die Werke über Nacht bei uns im Atelier lasst und später abholen kommt. Resin is essential to creating realistic ocean art: it is clarity\, consistency and gloss replicate the look of water in a way you simply can’t get with any other medium. Our artist will demonstrate how easy it is to create your own stunning ocean art\, specially for beginners. \n  \n• No prior experience with resin necessary \n• All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price. \n• Material: One Wooden board (25cm diameter)\,  MasterCast Resin by EliChem (non-toxic free from solvents for easy and safe application\, also available in our Online Shop)\, different color pigments. \n• Important: For optimal drying process and avoiding any changes to your painting\, we recommend that you leave your artwork in the studio at least overnight and pick it up at later. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). DESCRIPTION:— Deutsch — \n  \nDie Künstlerin Janka zeigt in ihrem STRUCTURES Workshop\, wie sie mit verschiedensten Strukturpasten und Salz auf Leinwand malt. Sie zeigt vor\, wie die Strukturpasten und das Salz mit Acrylfarbe und Tinte eingefärbt werden und mit dem Spachtel in den zuvor gemalten Farbverlauf hinein gearbeitet werden. Die verschiedensten Strukturen; trocken bis flüssig\, fein bis grobkörnig\, matt bis glänzend\, bieten alle eine zusätzliche faszinierende\, haptische und etwas dreidimensionale Ebene zur Farbkomposition und Formgebung. Bei der abstrakten Malerei spielt die eigene Farbpalette eine wichtige Rolle und wird hier in der seriellen Arbeitsweise auf zwei Leinwänden von der Künstlerin angeleitet\, individuell erarbeitet. Eingefärbte Struktur-Schichten werden solange hinzugefügt\, bis die Kompositionen stimmig werden. Die Werke können schlussendlich an etwas ganz Natürliches wie zum Beispiel Gesteine in den Gebirgen oder an Rost-Effekte erinnern\, bleiben aber natürlich ein sehr offenes abstraktes Bild.  \nDies ist kein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. She demonstrates how the structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid\, fine to coarse grained\, matte to glossy\, all offer an additional fascinating\, tactile and  a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting\, one’s own color palette plays an important role and is here individually focused on in the serial way of working on two canvases guided by the artist. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works can finally remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects\, but of course they remain open abstract paintings.  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. Mit dem neuen Studio an der Limmatstrasse 73 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils. \n• Upgrade Options: Want to create larger artworks or additional ones? Check out our UPGRADE pricelist for action painting. Upgrades to 50x70cm are generally always possible; larger formats might not be possible in fully booked sessions but you can always check with your artist. \n• Duration: approx. 2 to 2.5h \n• Note: Most likely your artworks won’t be dry enough to be safely transported at the end of the session. Join us for an artistic exploration and leave with the skills and confidence to continue making gel prints on your own. \nIn this workshop\, you’ll dive into the process of gel printing\, using a gelatin-like plate to make prints without the need for a press. Gel printing is known for its versatility and the ability to produce stunning\, multi-layered results that are impossible to achieve with traditional printing methods. Our artist will guide you through every step of the process\, from setting up your materials to pulling your final print. \n\nWhat to Expect:\n\nIntroduction to Gel Printing: Learn what gel printing is and why it’s a unique and accessible form of printmaking. Understand the materials needed\, including the gel plate\, brayers\, paper\, and acrylic paints.\nPreparing Your Plate: Discover how to prepare your gel plate for printing\, including applying paint\, creating textures\, and using stencils or found objects to add intriguing patterns and depth to your prints.\nLayering Techniques: Master the art of layering colors and patterns to create complex\, richly textured prints.
