DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch —(EN below) \nAction Painting für Kids – Kreativität Spielerisch Entdecken\nWarum haben Kinder eigentlich so viel Spass am Malen? Die Antwort ist einfach: das Malen ermöglicht es ihnen\, sich frei auszudrücken\, ihre Emotionen und Gefühle mitzuteilen\, ihre Talente und Besonderheiten zu erkunden. Mit dem Action Painting für Kids bieten wir einen einzigartigen Workshop an\, der in dieser Form wohl in keinem Klassenzimmer möglich ist. Wir haben in unserem neuen Atelier einen grossen Bereich nur fürs Action Painting eingerichtet\, wo Kids mit Pinseln\, Schwämmen und anderen Werkzeugen spritzen\, sprühen und wirbeln können. Es geht dabei darum  spielerisch Erfahrungen mit Farben und Formen zu sammeln\, ohne sich auf das Endprodukt zu konzentrieren. Zusätzlich schalten wir das UV-Licht ein\, so dass die Kinder eine lebhafte Explosion von Farben erleben können\, die im Dunkeln leuchten und atemberaubende\, leuchtende Kunstwerke schaffen. \nUnser Künstler*in startet mit einer Einführung in die Grundlagen und zeigt dann verschiedene Techniken. Danach können die Kids loslegen und ihre ganz individuellen Meisterwerke auf einer hochwertigen 30x40cm Leinwand kreieren. \nP.S. Das Neonmalen im Dunkeln ist der letzte Teil der Action-Painting-Session (ca.30min) und ist optional. Je nach individuellem Wunsch kann das Kind diesen Teil überspringen und bei Tageslicht weiter malen. \n  \n • Der Event ist für Kids von 6 bis 12 Jahren geeignet – keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. Der Workshop ist nur für Kinder gedacht und Eltern können in unserer Lounge (wo wir ein kleines Selbstbedienungs-Café haben) entspannen oder einen Spaziergang durch die Nachbarschaft machen. \n• Wir haben verschiedene Schutzschürzen und -hemden\, empfehlen aber trotzdem\, dass dein Kind Kleidung trägt\, die im schlimmsten Fall farbig werden darf. Besonders ein altes Paar Socken ist zu empfehlen\, da diese ziemlich sicher Farbe abbekommen werden. \n• Inklusiv-Materialien: Eine hochwertige 30x40cm Leinwand\, die dein Kind behalten darf. Alle anderen Werkzeuge und Farben (für Kids-Workshops benutzen wir nur zertifizierte\, ungiftige wasserbasierte Schulfarben). \n• Dauer: ca. 1.5 Stunden \n• Sprache: eine Mischung aus Deutsch und Englisch \n• Hinweis: Wahrscheinlich werden die Werke am Ende der Session noch zu nass für einen sicheren Transport sein. Ihr könnt sie dann bei uns trocknen lassen und eine Abholung vereinbaren oder nach der Session unseren Versandservice. \n  \nHinweis: Wir benötigen mindestens 4 Kinder\, die sich 48 Stunden vor der Session anmelden\, um den Event stattfinden zu lassen. Falls wir einen Event absagen müssen\, informieren wir dich proaktiv und bieten dir entweder eine Rückerstattung oder eine Verschiebung an. \n  \n  \n— English — \n  \nUnleash Your Kids’ Inner Artist in our Super Fun Action Painting Workshop\nWe are always thinking: why do children enjoy a good messy painting experience so much? We think that it is because this process allows them to express themselves in a free way\, to communicate their emotions and feelings and to explore their talents and specialties. With the Action Painting for Kids\, we offer a unique workshop that you won’t find in any classroom. We’ve set up a large area in our new studio specifically for Action Painting\, where kids can splash\, spray\, and swirl with brushes\, sponges\, and other tools. The focus is on playfully experimenting with colors and shapes without concentrating on the final product. Additionally\, we will also turn on the UV light\, the kids can experience a vibrant explosion of colors glowing brilliantly in the dark to create stunning\, luminous artworks. \nOur artist will kick things off with an intro to the basics and then show various cool techniques. After that it’s time for the kids to dive in and create their masterpieces on a premium 30x40cm canvas. \nP.S. The Neon Painting in the dark will be last part of the Action Painting session (ca.30mins) and it is optional. According to individual request\, the kid can skip this part and continue to paint under the daylight. \n  \n • The event is suitable for kids from 6 to 12 years old – no previous experience is required. The workshop is intended for kids only and parents may hang out in our lounge (where we have a small self-service Café) or enjoy a stroll through the neighbourhood. \n• We have various protective aprons and shirts\, etc but we nevertheless recommend that your kid comes in some clothing that may get colorful. In particular an old pair of socks is highly recommended as these will almost definitely get paint on them. \n•  Included materials: One premium quality 30x40cm canvas for your kid to keep. All other tools and paints (for Kids workshops we only use certified non-toxic water based school paints). \n• Duration: approx. 1.5h \n• Language: a mix of German and English \n• Note: Most likely the artworks won’t be dry enough to be safely transported at the end of the session. You can leave them to dry at our studio and arrange a pick-up time or book our shipping service after the session. \n  \nNote: We require at least 4 kids to be registered 48h before the session in order to hold this event. As usual\, the event host will guide you step by step through the painting while you are free to choose another color or canvas size. \n  \nAbout the theme:\nClaude Monet was the leader of the French Impressionist movement. Interested in painting in the open air and capturing natural light. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere\, his work often achieved a remarkable degree of abstraction. \nFrom 1883\, Monet lived in Giverny\, where he purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies\, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life. \nPlease note: Unlike our standard guided PaintEvents (mostly 2hrs)\, the instructions here are verbal. Rolando is happy to provide visual instructions (demonstration on a canvas) as well if needed. \n  \n • Level: Options for many levels provided. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). SUMMARY:Resin Art Workshop: Colorful Rhapsody
DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch — \n  \nDie Künstlerin Janka Stemmle zeigt am LUCENT Workshop wie mit Kunstharz abstrakt gemalt werden kann. Kunstharz wird dabei mit verschiedenen Farbpigmenten und Alkohol Tinten eingefärbt. Denn eigentlich ist Kunstharz ein transparentes Material\, das sich durch das Aushärten zu einem glänzenden Material entwickelt\, das eindeutig an Glas erinnert. Ab dem Moment\, in dem der Härter im Verhältnis 1:1 dem Kunstharz zugefügt wird\, verwandelt sich dieser innerhalb von 30 bis 45 Minuten zu einem vollkommen ausgehärteten Material. Der Malprozess kann also einzig innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne geschehen und ist Materialbedingt zunächst sehr dynamisch und wird gegen Ende sehr langsam und ruhig. Bei dieser Technik spielt die Farbsättigung vom Kunstharz an sich eine zentrale Rolle. Was bedeutet\, es wird entschieden\, wie stark durchsichtig und durchscheinend oder eher deckend der Kunstharz sein soll. Dies wird mit der Menge an Farbpigmenten entschieden\, die dem Kunstharz zum Einfärben ohne Limite zugegeben wird. Alkoholtinte hingegen kann nur bis zu höchstens 10% des Gesamtvolumens zugegeben werden\, sonst würde der Kunstharz gummiartig werden statt auszuhärten. Sind mehrere farbige Kunstharze jeweils in Bechern entstanden\, werden sie wie bei anderen “Fluid Art” Techniken auf die weisse Malplatte gegossen. Durch das Kippen und die Verwendung eines Strohhalms oder eines Föhns wird der Kunstharz auf der Oberfläche bewegt. Die wesentlichen Effekte entstehen vor allem zu Beginn\, wenn der Kunstharz noch sehr flüssig ist\, weil dieser dann noch sehr leicht auf diverses Eingreifen reagiert. Durch die Verwendung eines kleinen Bunsenbrenners entstehen verschiedene faszinierende kreisförmige Strukturen\, sie sich mit der Zeit noch ein wenig von selbst verändern können. Ganz am Ende wird die Oberfläche mit dem Bunsenbrenner versiegelt\, indem sie so lange mit Hitze bearbeitet wird\, bis sich die vielen winzigen Luftbläschen aus der Oberfläche herauslösen. Durch die Hitze verändert sich der Kunstharz von milchig zu klar und glänzend. Letztendlich entstehen zahlreiche transparent leuchtende Farbschichten\, die ineinander und übereinander liegen. Sie können noch so lange subtil verändert werden\, bis sie sich nicht mehr bewegen lassen. \n  \n\n  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird Janka diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie zwei eigene Kreationen aus Kunstharz erstellen können und vor allem während dieses dynamischen und gleichzeitig sehr ruhigen Prozesses sehr präsent und bei sich sein können. \n  \n\n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\nAlle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen\nAm Schluss hast du ​zwei Kunstwerke aus Kunstharz\, ​die über Nacht trocknen müssen.​ Dafür bieten wir zwei Schachteln an\, mit denen die Bilder direkt mit nach Hause genommen werden können. Diese müssen horizontal transportiert werden\, können aber ohne Probleme mit in den ÖV genommen werden (vergleichbar mit 2 Pizza-Schachteln).\nMaterial: Verschiedene Farbpigmente\, verschiedene Kunstharz Einfärbemittel von EliChem\, Acrylfarben\, Glitzer und Alkohol Tinten\, zwei MDF Platten (23x23cm und 24x30cm) und MasterCast Kunstharz ungiftig frei von Lösungsmitteln für eine einfache und sichere Anwendung von EliChem erhältlich direkt über unseren Online Shop.\nWissenswertes: Beim Arbeiten mit Kunstharz werden immer Plastikhandschuhe gebraucht\, damit die Hände vom Abmessen bis zum fertigen Kunstwerk geschützt sind\, ausgenommen wenn Hahrföhn zum Manipulieren und Bunsenbrenner zum Versiegeln verwendet werden. Der Raum wird während dem Arbeiten mit Kunstharz immer gut durchlüftet. Eine Atemschutzmaske braucht es an diesem Kurs mit der gebrauchten kleinen Menge an Kunstharz im sehr grossräumigen Atelier mit einer auf 10 Teilnehmer begrenzte Anzahl nicht. Sie wäre nur dann wichtig\, wenn anschliessend mit ganz grossen Bildern zu Hause weiter experimentiert wird. Obwohl unser Resin zertifiziert ungiftig ist\, raten wir schwangeren Frauen vorsichtshalber von der Teilnahme ab.\nDas Event wird auf Deutsch und Englisch geleitet. The resin is colored with different color pigments and alcohol inks. Resin reminds of glass because it is a transparent material that gets shiny after the curing process. At first the resin is liquid and from the moment the hardener gets added to it in a 1:1 ratio it turns within 30 to 45 minutes into a completely solid and firm material. The painting process can therefore only take place within these 30 to 45 minutes. Due to the material the painting process is naturally at first very dynamic and becomes very and calm towards the end. When painting with resin\, the color saturation plays a central role\, which means the decision about how transparent and translucent or how covering the resin will get is decisive. This depends amount of color pigments added to the resin without any limit how saturated it gets in the end. Alcohol ink on the other hand can only be added up to a maximum of 10% of the total volume\, otherwise the resin would become rubbery instead of hard. Once several colored resins are created each in cups they are simply poured onto the white painting board the same as in other “fluid art” techniques. Then the tilting and using a straw or a hair dryer takes place to move around the resin on the surface. The essential effects happen mostly when the resin is still liquid\, because then the resin still reacts easily to any interventions. By using a small heat gun various fascinating circular structures start to appear still changing a little by themselves. In the end the heat will seal the surface properly by making many tiny air bubbles vanish underneath the surface. From the heat the resin changes from being milky to being clear and shiny. So in the end what you see are numerous transparent and luminous layers of paint lying in and on top of each other. They can be changed subtly until they simply will stop moving.\nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific painting with step by step instructions. Instead\, Janka will explain this technique so you can create two of your own creations from resin and mainly be completely present during this dynamic and in the same time very calm process.\n\n  \n\nNo prior Painting experience necessary\nAll Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price.\nIn the end you have two paintings made of resin that have to dry overnight.​ ​We will provide boxes so you can take your paintings home right away. They need to be transported horizontally but it should be no problem to take them on public transport.\nMaterial: different color pigments\, various resin colorants from EliChem\, acrylic paints\, glitter and alcohol inks\, two MDF plates (23x23cm and 24x30cm) and MasterCast resin non-toxic free from solvents for easy and safe application by EliChem directly available at our Online Shop.\nGood to know: Plastic gloves are always needed when working with resin from measuring to finished paintings to protect hands\, except when using hair dryers for manipulation and heat guns for sealing the paintings. The room is always well ventilated while working with resin. A breathing mask is not needed at this workshop based on the small amount of resin used in our very spacious studio with a number limited to 10 participants. It would only be of importance if you would further experiment with very large paintings at home. Mit dem neuen Studio an der Limmatstrasse 73 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch —(EN below) \nAction Painting für Kids – Kreativität Spielerisch Entdecken\nWarum haben Kinder eigentlich so viel Spass am Malen? Die Antwort ist einfach: das Malen ermöglicht es ihnen\, sich frei auszudrücken\, ihre Emotionen und Gefühle mitzuteilen\, ihre Talente und Besonderheiten zu erkunden. Mit dem Action Painting für Kids bieten wir einen einzigartigen Workshop an\, der in dieser Form wohl in keinem Klassenzimmer möglich ist. Wir haben in unserem neuen Atelier einen grossen Bereich nur fürs Action Painting eingerichtet\, wo Kids mit Pinseln\, Schwämmen und anderen Werkzeugen spritzen\, sprühen und wirbeln können. Es geht dabei darum  spielerisch Erfahrungen mit Farben und Formen zu sammeln\, ohne sich auf das Endprodukt zu konzentrieren. Zusätzlich schalten wir das UV-Licht ein\, so dass die Kinder eine lebhafte Explosion von Farben erleben können\, die im Dunkeln leuchten und atemberaubende\, leuchtende Kunstwerke schaffen. \nUnser Künstler*in startet mit einer Einführung in die Grundlagen und zeigt dann verschiedene Techniken. Danach können die Kids loslegen und ihre ganz individuellen Meisterwerke auf einer hochwertigen 30x40cm Leinwand kreieren. \nP.S. Das Neonmalen im Dunkeln ist der letzte Teil der Action-Painting-Session (ca.30min) und ist optional. Je nach individuellem Wunsch kann das Kind diesen Teil überspringen und bei Tageslicht weiter malen. \n  \n • Der Event ist für Kids von 6 bis 12 Jahren geeignet – keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. We think that it is because this process allows them to express themselves in a free way\, to communicate their emotions and feelings and to explore their talents and specialties. With the Action Painting for Kids\, we offer a unique workshop that you won’t find in any classroom. We’ve set up a large area in our new studio specifically for Action Painting\, where kids can splash\, spray\, and swirl with brushes\, sponges\, and other tools. The focus is on playfully experimenting with colors and shapes without concentrating on the final product. Additionally\, we will also turn on the UV light\, the kids can experience a vibrant explosion of colors glowing brilliantly in the dark to create stunning\, luminous artworks. \nOur artist will kick things off with an intro to the basics and then show various cool techniques. After that it’s time for the kids to dive in and create their masterpieces on a premium 30x40cm canvas. \nP.S. The Neon Painting in the dark will be last part of the Action Painting session (ca.30mins) and it is optional. According to individual request\, the kid can skip this part and continue to paint under the daylight. \n  \n • The event is suitable for kids from 6 to 12 years old – no previous experience is required. The workshop is intended for kids only and parents may hang out in our lounge (where we have a small self-service Café) or enjoy a stroll through the neighbourhood. \n• We have various protective aprons and shirts\, etc but we nevertheless recommend that your kid comes in some clothing that may get colorful. SUMMARY:Alcohol Ink Workshop: Crash of Colors
DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch — \n  \nUnsere Künstlerin zeigt am Workshop wie mit Tinte und Alkohol auf YUPO\, einem aus Plastik recycelten synthetischen Papier\, gemalt werden kann. Tinte reagiert auf diesem ebenen und wasserdichten Papier ganz speziell auf Sprit\, der aus 90% Alkohol besteht. Dieser Vorgang führt zu erstaunlichen Ergebnissen. Genauer zersetzt der Alkohol die Tinte bis in die Pigmente hinein\, wodurch neue Farbnuancen in ein und derselben Farbe auftauchen können. Die flüssige Tinte gemischt mit Alkohol wird durch Wärme und Luft mit einem Föhn oder einem Strohhalm auf der Oberfläche bewegt bis sie ganz getrocknet ist. Dabei entstehen wunderschön leuchtende und etwas durchscheinende Farbschichten. Dieser Vorgang kann kontinuierlich wiederholt werden\, bis die Komposition stimmig wird. Die Oberfläche wird gelegentlich mit reinem Alkohol besprenkelt\, wodurch Formgebungen entstehen\, die an den Kosmos erinnern.  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird unsere Kunstlerin diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie drei eigene Bilder auf YUPO kreieren können und sich vor allem während diesem wunderbaren Prozess entspannen und inspirieren lassen können. \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen \n• Am Schluss hast du 4 Kunstwerke (jeweils bis A4 Grösse) auf Spezialpapier \n• Neu: Wir bieten Schachteln an\, mit denen die Bilder direkt mit nach Hause genommen werden können. Ink reacts on this even and waterproof paper very fascinating to spirit that consists of 90% alcohol. This process leads to astonishing results. More specifically the alcohol decomposes the ink within the pigments\, allowing new shades of color to appear within the same color. The liquid ink mixed with alcohol is being moved by heat and air with a hair dryer or a straw on the surface until it becomes completely dry. This creates beautifully luminous and slightly translucent layers of paint. This procedure can be repeated continuously until the composition becomes harmonious for you. The surface is occasionally sprinkled with pure alcohol creating shapes reminding of the cosmos.  \nThis is not a classical PaintEvent for a particular painting with step by step instructions. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. You can leave them to dry at our studio and arrange a pick-up time or book our shipping service after the session (up to 40x50cm canvas size\, shipping of larger sizes upon request). \n  \nPlease note that we will only hold this event if at least 4 people have registered online at least 48h before the event. In case of a cancellation from our side\, guests who hold a ticket will be informed by mail and the ticket will be either rebooked or completely refunded as desired.
