Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin Eliza startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\n Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist Eliza will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required.\n We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). DESCRIPTION:  \n\n–Künsterlin/Artist– \n[tlpteam id=”25480″ title=”Janka”]\n  \n \nTo see more STRUCTURES artworks by Janka Stemmle \n  \nIMPORTANT: This event is taking place at our new studio at Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich.\nWICHTIG: Dieser event findet in unserem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich statt.\n\n\n— Deutsch — \nDie Künstlerin Janka Stemmle zeigt in ihrem STRUCTURES Workshop\, wie sie mit verschiedensten Strukturpasten und Salz auf Leinwand malt. Sie zeigt vor\, wie die Strukturpasten und das Salz mit Acrylfarbe und Tinte eingefärbt werden und mit dem Spachtel in den zuvor gemalten Farbverlauf hinein gearbeitet werden. Die verschiedensten Strukturen; trocken bis flüssig\, fein bis grobkörnig\, matt bis glänzend\, bieten alle eine zusätzliche faszinierende\, haptische und etwas dreidimensionale Ebene zur Farbkomposition und Formgebung. Bei der abstrakten Malerei spielt die eigene Farbpalette eine wichtige Rolle und wird hier in der seriellen Arbeitsweise auf zwei Leinwänden von der Künstlerin angeleitet\, individuell erarbeitet. Eingefärbte Struktur-Schichten werden solange hinzugefügt\, bis die Kompositionen stimmig werden. Die Werke können schlussendlich an etwas ganz Natürliches wie zum Beispiel Gesteine in den Gebirgen oder an Rost-Effekte erinnern\, bleiben aber natürlich ein sehr offenes abstraktes Bild.  \nDies ist kein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird Janka diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie zwei ganz eigene Bilder auf Leinwand kreieren können und sich während diesem meditativen Prozess erden und ihrer Kreativität Freiraum geben können. \n Der Event ist für jeden geeignet\, es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt.\n Alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen.\n 2 Leinwände (20x20cm und 30x40cm) und alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen.\n Der Event wird auf Deutsch und Englisch geleitet. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n— English — \nThe artist Janka Stemmle shows at her STRUCTURES workshop how she paints with a variety of texture pastes and salt on canvas. She demonstrates how the structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid\, fine to coarse grained\, matte to glossy\, all offer an additional fascinating\, tactile and  a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting\, one’s own color palette plays an important role and is here individually focused on in the serial way of working on two canvases guided by the artist. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works can finally remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects\, but of course they remain open abstract paintings.  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. The process is broken down into easy steps. The wet paint is laid on wet or damp paper\, the colours flow and blend into one another in beautiful\, unexpected ways\, creating a diffused effect. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n–Künsterlin/Artist– \n[tlpteam id=”25480″ title=”Janka”]\n\n\n \nTo see more GRANULAR artworks by Janka Stemmle \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT: This event is taking place at our new studio at Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich.\nWICHTIG: Dieser event findet in unserem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich statt.\n\n— Deutsch — \nAn diesem Granular Workshop zeigt die Künstlerin Janka Stemmle wie mit Aquarellen abstrakt gemalt werden kann mit der Verwendung von Salz\, Couscous (Quinoa\, Reis) und Zucker. Die mit der Nass-auf-Nass-Technik bemalten Stellen werden mit verschiedenen Mengen an Salz\, Couscous (Quinoa\, Reis) oder Zucker bestreut\, was nach dem Trocknen zu unterschiedlichen\, wunderschönen sandigen Strukturen auf dem Papier führt\, ganz vom Zufall geprägt. Danach werden alle Bilder zunächst mit dem Föhn getrocknet. Dann wird die zuckrige Struktur mit etwas weisser Acryl oder Wasserfarbe bemalt und dadurch sichtbarer gemacht. Der Zucker wird zu einer völlig glasierten\, körnigen Konsistenz und haftet auf dem Papier völlig fest. Die Salz- und Couscous-Struktur (oder Quinoa\, Reis) wird mit einem Spachtel abgekratzt\, wobei sich darunter eine verschiedene fein- und grobkörnige Struktur auf dem Papier verbirgt. Die aufgedeckte Struktur stellt den Prozess der Wasseraufnahme des Salzes und des Couscous dar\, welche sich auf dem Papier einprägt.  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird Janka diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie sechs eigene Bilder auf Papier kreieren können und sich vor allem während diesem spielerischen Prozess inspirieren lassen können. \n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\n Alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen\n  Am Schluss hast du insgesamt 6 Kunstwerke (6x A5 Aquarell Papier)\, die du mit einer Kartonschachtel direkt mit nach Hause nehmen kannst.\n Zusätzliches Material kann vor Ort bezogen werden (3-12 CHF)\n Material: Aquarelle auf Papier\, Salz\, Couscous & Zucker\n Das Event wird auf Deutsch und Englisch geleitet. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n  \n— English — \nIn this Granular workshop\, the artist Janka Stemmle shows how aquarelle colors can be used with the wet-on-wet technique to paint on paper in an abstract way using salt\, couscous (quinoa\, rice) and sugar. The wet painted areas are sprinkled with different amounts of salt\, couscous (quinoa\, rice) or sugar\, which all leave different beautiful sandy textures on the paper when dry\, all influenced by coincidence. Then all paintings have to first be dried with the hairdryer. The sugary texture will be painted with a second level with white acrylic or watercolor to make it more visible. The sugar turns into a completely glazed tough consistency and the graininess stays as such and sticks onto the paper. The salt and couscous (or quinoa\, rice) will be scraped off with a spatula revealing different fine and coarse grainy colored textures on the paper underneath. The uncovered structures depict the process of salt or couscous absorbing the water.  \nThis is not a classical event for a specific painting with step-by-step instructions. Instead\, Janka will explain to you this technique that you can create six of your own paintings on paper and get inspired during this playful process. \nNo prior Painting experience necessary\n All Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price.\n  At the end you will have 6 artworks (6x A5 on aquarelle paper) which you can take home in a cardboard box right away.\n Material: Aquarelles on paper\, salt\, couscous and sugar\n Additional material available on request (3-12 CHF)\n Language of Instruction: German and English\n You are welcome to bring your own food or drinks to the studio (BYOB)\n We will start the instructions at 6PM. Unsere Künstlerin Eliza startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Die Acrylfarben werden mit recht viel Wasser verdünnt\, nacheinander in einen gemeinsamen Plastikbecher gegossen\, wobei ein paar Tropfen Silikonöl hinzugefügt werden. Der Becher wird entweder mit der DIRTY-POUR oder der FLIP-CUP Methode auf einen festen Untergrund\, hier auf drei Holzplatten und eine Leinwand\, geleert oder umgekehrt. Als Untergrund verwendet die Künstlerin selbst ebenso Glas und Karton. Nun kommt der allerbeste Moment\, indem die Farben beginnen miteinander zu reagieren\, wobei ganz eigene abstrakte Formgebungen\, die an Zellen oder andersartige organische oder astronomische Motive erinnern. Die Künstlerin greift subtil ein\, indem sie den Untergrund etwas kippt und mit der Nutzung von Strohhalmen oder einem Föhn und einem Bunsenbrenner Luft und Wärme Veränderungen erzeugt. Die Arbeiten verändern sich bis sie ganz getrocknet sind wie von alleine weiter. \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. To do so the acrylic paints need to be mixed with plenty of water. Then all colors are poured one by one into one common plastic cup whereat a few drops of silicone oil is added. The cup is poured on a solid surface\, here on three wood boards and one canvas\, either with the DIRTY-POUR or the FLIP-CUP method. As a background the artist also uses glass and cardboard. Now the very best moment appears when the colors begin to react with each other. Very unique abstract shapes emerge reminding of cell structures or any other organic or astronomical motives. The artist intervenes in a subtle way by tilting the surface a bit and using either a straw or a hairdryer and a heat gun to influence the painting with air and heat changes. The paintings still change from itself until they are completely dried. \nThis is not a classical event with step-by-step instructions for one particular painting. Sie zeigt vor\, wie die Strukturpasten und das Salz mit Acrylfarbe und Tinte eingefärbt werden und mit dem Spachtel in den zuvor gemalten Farbverlauf hinein gearbeitet werden. Die verschiedensten Strukturen; trocken bis flüssig\, fein bis grobkörnig\, matt bis glänzend\, bieten alle eine zusätzliche faszinierende\, haptische und etwas dreidimensionale Ebene zur Farbkomposition und Formgebung. Bei der abstrakten Malerei spielt die eigene Farbpalette eine wichtige Rolle und wird hier in der seriellen Arbeitsweise auf zwei Leinwänden von der Künstlerin angeleitet\, individuell erarbeitet. She demonstrates how the structural pastes and salt are colored with acrylic paint and ink and added with the spatula into the previously painted color gradient. The wide variety of textures possible; dry to liquid\, fine to coarse grained\, matte to glossy\, all offer an additional fascinating\, tactile and  a bit three-dimensional layer to the color composition and shaping. In abstract painting\, one’s own color palette plays an important role and is here individually focused on in the serial way of working on two canvases guided by the artist. Colored structure layers are added until the compositions become coherent. The works can finally remind of something very natural such as rocks in the mountains or rust effects\, but of course they remain open abstract paintings.  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. DESCRIPTION:–Künsterlin/Artist– \n[tlpteam id=”25480″ title=”Janka”]\n\n\n \nTo see more RECURRENT artworks by Janka Stemmle \n\n  \nIMPORTANT: This event is taking place at our new studio at Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich.\nWICHTIG: Dieser event findet in unserem neuen Studio an der Zeughausstrasse 31\, 8004 Zürich statt.\n\n\n— Deutsch — \nAn diesem Workshop zeigt die Künstlerin Janka Stemmle wie mit Aquarellen in der Nass-in-Nass Technik auf Papier ganz verschieden abstrakt gemalt werden kann. Auf dem Papier reagieren Aquarelle mit der Verwendung von relativ viel Wasser immer wieder ganz neu und zufällig. Während dem Trocknen der Farbe können dabei überraschende Farbrückstände\, ganz natürlich geformte\, etwas gezackte geschwungene Linien entstehen. Das Experimentieren mit der Menge von Wasser und den Formen und Arten von Pinseln spielt hier eine entscheidende Rolle. Zudem wird mit Spritzen\, Kippen\, Klopfen und Luftveränderungen durch einen Föhn oder Strohhalm experimentiert. Zusätzlich kann die Oberfläche gelegentlich mit Farbe besprenkelt werden. All diese Experimente werden zuerst im Kleinen in Form von Kreisen\, die dann wie Planeten wirken\, versucht und erlernt. Daraufhin wird dies auf einem grösseren Papier angewendet\, bis die Komposition stimmig wird.  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Im Falle einer Absage werden die Gäste mit einem Ticket per Mail informiert und das Ticket wird nach Wunsch entweder umgebucht oder komplett zurückerstattet. \n  \n— English — \nIn this Workshop the artist Janka Stemmle shows how she paints with Aquarelles with the wet-on-wet technique on paper in various abstract ways. Aquarelles react on paper in a completely new and random way by using relatively much water. As the paint dries\, surprising traces of color can appear\, naturally formed\, slightly jagged\, curved lines. The amount of water and the shapes and types of brushes you use plays a decisive role here. In addition you can experiment with splashing\, tilting\, tapping and changes in air through a hairdryer or straw. All these experiments are first tried and learned on a small scale in the form of circles\, which then remind us of planets. This is then applied to two larger sized papers until the composition becomes harmonic.  \nThis is not a classical event for a specific painting with step-by-step instructions. Das letzte wird mit der Strukturpaste erzielt. \nIn diesem Kurs zeigt Angelika dir\, wie man die Pasten aufträgt\, mit Spachtel\, Messer oder Pinsel. These structural pastes are a wonderful and exciting medium to make your painting more interesting. The element of arts are line\, shape\, form\, space \, color and TEXTURE. The structural paste will give you immediately texture. \nIn this class\, Angelika shows how to work with this medium. Spatula\, knife and paintbrush are the tools and there are different kind of pastes like pumice\, soft gel\, Glas bead gel etc. After you apply this wonderful medium \,you paint with acrylic or even watercolor over it.
