At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). As usual\, the event host will guide you through the painting while you are free to choose another color or canvas size. \n  \nAbout the theme:\n  \nClaude Monet was the leader of the French Impressionist movement. Interested in painting in the open air and capturing natural light. Masterful as a colorist and as a painter of light and atmosphere\, his work often achieved a remarkable degree of abstraction. \nFrom 1883\, Monet lived in Giverny\, where he purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies\, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years of his life. \nPlease note: Unlike our standard guided PaintEvents\, the instructions here are verbal. Rolando is happy to provide visual instructions (demonstration on a canvas) as well if needed. \n  \n • Level: Options for many levels provided. Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). At this workshop our artist  will show you the basic techniques to create a beautiful realistic beach art. It is an easy process that involves pouring layers of resin in various shades of blue\, then finishing with a layer of white that gets pushed around by air and gravity to create a lacing effect reminiscent of sea foam. Resin is essential to creating realistic ocean art: it is clarity\, consistency and gloss replicate the look of water in a way you simply can’t get with any other medium. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch — \n  \n\n\n\n\nHier experimentiert die Künstlerin Janka Stemmle\, wie Acrylfarbe auf das Material Krakelierlack reagiert\, wenn sie damit in Schichten auf Leinwand oder Papier malt. Die Farbe reisst aufgrund der Oberflächenspannung des Lacks auf\, wodurch eine künstliche Alterung der Farbe entsteht. Der Lack wird unregelmässig auf die erste Farbschicht aufgetragen. Dies und die Trocknungszeit des Lacks beeinflussen die Bildentstehung. Bei langer Trocknungszeit oder beim Auftragen dünner Farbe reisst die oberste Farbschicht in subtilere und komplexere Brüche auf. Bei kurzer Trocknungszeit oder beim Auftragen sehr dicker Farbe entstehen größere und grobe Risse. Dieser Workshop bietet Raum für kreatives Spielen mit Künstlermaterialien. \n  \n\n\n\n\nDies ist nicht ein klassischer Event für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. The paint splits open due to the interfacial tension of the varnish which produces an artificial aging of the paint. The varnish is applied unevenly onto the first layer of paint. You can work with colors\, dots\, lines\, shapes and textures and create a personal visual rhythm in a painting but you can also feel free and work in the intuitive way\, gestural\, you also can explore all different kinds of techniques. \nThe workshop series include six sections: Grisaille\, Layering\, Blending\, Sgraffito\, Stippling and Wet on Wet\, at each section you will learn a specific technique which will help you to achieve a new level for your abstract learning process …… on every second Monday\, Rolando\, our friend\, host and artist from Cuba is looking forward to assist you to enjoy this new creative experience.You don’t necessarily need to participate the workshops in sequence. Every workshop is an individual section. \nAbout Today’s workshop – Wet on Wet \nWet on Wet technique is used for blending work. Essentially you’ll add your paint color on canvas\, and while it is still wet you can add another color\, and blend them together while they are workable and wet on canvas. Alena will break down the whole process into easy steps. The wet paint is laid on wet paper\, the colours flow and blend into one another in beautiful\, unexpected ways\, creating a diffused effect. Let your creativity flow! \n  \nGood to know:\n\n No Prior Painting Experience Necessary – Step by Step Guidance through the whole process.\nFrist time or frequent painters – all kind of questions are more than welcome!
