Mit dem neuen Studio an der Limmatstrasse 73 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils. \n• Upgrade Options: Want to create larger artworks or additional ones? Check out our UPGRADE pricelist for action painting. Upgrades to 50x70cm are generally always possible; larger formats might not be possible in fully booked sessions but you can always check with your artist. \n• Duration: approx. 2 to 2.5h \n• Note: Most likely your artworks won’t be dry enough to be safely transported at the end of the session. Gel printing is not only a fun and rewarding art form but also a meditative process that encourages experimentation and play. Join us for an artistic exploration and leave with the skills and confidence to continue making gel prints on your own. \nIn this workshop\, you’ll dive into the process of gel printing\, using a gelatin-like plate to make prints without the need for a press. Gel printing is known for its versatility and the ability to produce stunning\, multi-layered results that are impossible to achieve with traditional printing methods. Our artist will guide you through every step of the process\, from setting up your materials to pulling your final print. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect:\n\nIntroduction to Gel Printing: Learn what gel printing is and why it’s a unique and accessible form of printmaking. Understand the materials needed\, including the gel plate\, brayers\, paper\, and acrylic paints.\nPreparing Your Plate: Discover how to prepare your gel plate for printing\, including applying paint\, creating textures\, and using stencils or found objects to add intriguing patterns and depth to your prints.\nLayering Techniques: Master the art of layering colors and patterns to create complex\, richly textured prints. Learn how to plan your layers for the best visual impact.\nPulling Prints: Get hands-on experience pulling prints from your gel plate\, learning how to apply the right amount of pressure to transfer your design onto paper or fabric.\nExploring Creativity with Mixed Media: Explore how to incorporate mixed media elements into your gel prints\, including drawing\, collaging\, and other embellishments to your finished prints.\nFinishing and Presentation: Learn how to finish your prints for presentation\, including tips on drying\, flattening\, and mounting your artwork.\n\n  \nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific motive with step by step instructions. DESCRIPTION:  \nBitte beachten: Auch wenn wir ausschliesslich hochwertige Künstlerprodukte verwenden\, entstehen bei diesem Kurs gewisse Dämpfe im Raum. Aus diesem Grund ist der Kurs für schwangere Frauen und Kinder unter 15 Jahren nicht geeignet. Zudem erfordert das Material eine gewisse Geschicklichkeit\, was die Teilnahme für jüngere Kinder ebenfalls erschwert. \nPlease note: Although we exclusively use high-quality artist products\, this course generates certain fumes in the room. For this reason\, the course is not suitable for pregnant women and children under the age of 15.Additionally\, handling the materials requires a certain level of skill\, which makes participation challenging for younger children. \n  \n— Deutsch — \n  \nDie Künstlerin Janka Stemmle zeigt am LUCENT Workshop wie mit Kunstharz abstrakt gemalt werden kann. Kunstharz wird dabei mit verschiedenen Farbpigmenten und Alkohol Tinten eingefärbt. Denn eigentlich ist Kunstharz ein transparentes Material\, das sich durch das Aushärten zu einem glänzenden Material entwickelt\, das eindeutig an Glas erinnert. Ab dem Moment\, in dem der Härter im Verhältnis 1:1 dem Kunstharz zugefügt wird\, verwandelt sich dieser innerhalb von 30 bis 45 Minuten zu einem vollkommen ausgehärteten Material. Der Malprozess kann also einzig innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne geschehen und ist Materialbedingt zunächst sehr dynamisch und wird gegen Ende sehr langsam und ruhig. Bei dieser Technik spielt die Farbsättigung vom Kunstharz an sich eine zentrale Rolle. Was bedeutet\, es wird entschieden\, wie stark durchsichtig und durchscheinend oder eher deckend der Kunstharz sein soll. Dies wird mit der Menge an Farbpigmenten entschieden\, die dem Kunstharz zum Einfärben ohne Limite zugegeben wird. Alkoholtinte hingegen kann nur bis zu höchstens 10% des Gesamtvolumens zugegeben werden\, sonst würde der Kunstharz gummiartig werden statt auszuhärten. Sind mehrere farbige Kunstharze jeweils in Bechern entstanden\, werden sie wie bei anderen “Fluid Art” Techniken auf die weisse Malplatte gegossen. Durch das Kippen und die Verwendung eines Strohhalms oder eines Föhns wird der Kunstharz auf der Oberfläche bewegt. Die wesentlichen Effekte entstehen vor allem zu Beginn\, wenn der Kunstharz noch sehr flüssig ist\, weil dieser dann noch sehr leicht auf diverses Eingreifen reagiert. Durch die Verwendung eines kleinen Bunsenbrenners entstehen verschiedene faszinierende kreisförmige Strukturen\, sie sich mit der Zeit noch ein wenig von selbst verändern können. Ganz am Ende wird die Oberfläche mit dem Bunsenbrenner versiegelt\, indem sie so lange mit Hitze bearbeitet wird\, bis sich die vielen winzigen Luftbläschen aus der Oberfläche herauslösen. Durch die Hitze verändert sich der Kunstharz von milchig zu klar und glänzend. Letztendlich entstehen zahlreiche transparent leuchtende Farbschichten\, die ineinander und übereinander liegen. Sie können noch so lange subtil verändert werden\, bis sie sich nicht mehr bewegen lassen. \n  \n\n  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird Janka diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie zwei eigene Kreationen aus Kunstharz erstellen können und vor allem während dieses dynamischen und gleichzeitig sehr ruhigen Prozesses sehr präsent und bei sich sein können. \n  \n\n Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt\nAlle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen\nAm Schluss hast du ​zwei Kunstwerke aus Kunstharz\, ​die über Nacht trocknen müssen.​ Dafür bieten wir zwei Schachteln an\, mit denen die Bilder direkt mit nach Hause genommen werden können. Der Raum wird während dem Arbeiten mit Kunstharz immer gut durchlüftet. Eine Atemschutzmaske braucht es an diesem Kurs mit der gebrauchten kleinen Menge an Kunstharz im sehr grossräumigen Atelier mit einer auf 10 Teilnehmer begrenzte Anzahl nicht. Sie wäre nur dann wichtig\, wenn anschliessend mit ganz grossen Bildern zu Hause weiter experimentiert wird. Obwohl unser Resin zertifiziert ungiftig ist\, raten wir schwangeren Frauen vorsichtshalber von der Teilnahme ab.\nDas Event wird auf Deutsch und Englisch geleitet. The resin is colored with different color pigments and alcohol inks. Resin reminds of glass because it is a transparent material that gets shiny after the curing process. At first the resin is liquid and from the moment the hardener gets added to it in a 1:1 ratio it turns within 30 to 45 minutes into a completely solid and firm material. The painting process can therefore only take place within these 30 to 45 minutes. Due to the material the painting process is naturally at first very dynamic and becomes very and calm towards the end. When painting with resin\, the color saturation plays a central role\, which means the decision about how transparent and translucent or how covering the resin will get is decisive. This depends amount of color pigments added to the resin without any limit how saturated it gets in the end. Alcohol ink on the other hand can only be added up to a maximum of 10% of the total volume\, otherwise the resin would become rubbery instead of hard. Once several colored resins are created each in cups they are simply poured onto the white painting board the same as in other “fluid art” techniques. Then the tilting and using a straw or a hair dryer takes place to move around the resin on the surface. The essential effects happen mostly when the resin is still liquid\, because then the resin still reacts easily to any interventions. By using a small heat gun various fascinating circular structures start to appear still changing a little by themselves. In the end the heat will seal the surface properly by making many tiny air bubbles vanish underneath the surface. From the heat the resin changes from being milky to being clear and shiny. So in the end what you see are numerous transparent and luminous layers of paint lying in and on top of each other. They can be changed subtly until they simply will stop moving.\nThis is not a classic PaintEvent for a specific painting with step by step instructions. Instead\, Janka will explain this technique so you can create two of your own creations from resin and mainly be completely present during this dynamic and in the same time very calm process.\n\n  \n\nNo prior Painting experience necessary\nAll Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price.\nIn the end you have two paintings made of resin that have to dry overnight.​ ​We will provide boxes so you can take your paintings home right away. They need to be transported horizontally but it should be no problem to take them on public transport.\nMaterial: different color pigments\, various resin colorants from EliChem\, acrylic paints\, glitter and alcohol inks\, one MDF plate (30x40cm)\, MasterCast resin non-toxic free from solvents for easy and safe application by EliChem directly available at our Online Shop.\nGood to know: Plastic gloves are always needed when working with resin from measuring to finished paintings to protect hands\, except when using hair dryers for manipulation and heat guns for sealing the paintings. The room is always well ventilated while working with resin. A breathing mask is not needed at this workshop based on the small amount of resin used in our very spacious studio with a number limited to 10 participants. It would only be of importance if you would further experiment with very large paintings at home. If it’s your very first time painting\, you might wanna calculate a bit more time to finish the painting. Bei einem PaintEvent erstellst du mit der Unterstützung von lokalen Künstlern dein eigenes Kunstwerk\, das du am Ende des Abends mit nach Hause nimmst. Im Vordergrund stehen Entspannung\, die Freude am Malen und die Entfaltung deiner Kreativität. \n  \nZum Workshop: \nSchon mit Strukturpasten gearbeitet? Ein tolles und spannendes Medium\, das dein Bild sofort interessanter macht. Die Elemente der Kunst sind Linie\, Form\, Komposition\, Raum\, Farbe und TEXTUR. Das letzte wird mit der Strukturpaste erzielt. \nIn diesem Kurs zeigt Angelika dir\, wie man die Pasten aufträgt\, mit Spachtel\, Messer oder Pinsel. Welche verschiedenen Strukturpasten es gibt\, feine oder grobe Körnung\, Pumice oder Pasten mit Glasteilchen. Alles was dein Herz begehrt. Und wie du die Acrylfarbe oder auch Wasserfarbe auf die getrocknete Masse aufragen kannst. \nViel kreatives Vergnügen! \n  \nWichtig: Es handelt sich NICHT um eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung\, wir führen in die Techniken dieser abstrakten Kunst ein\, aber es gibt keine Garantie\, dass das Ergebnis genau wie das Titelbild sein wird. \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Wenn jemand Anfänger ist\, werden wir das Event mit eine kurze Einführung über Acrylmalerei starten! \n• 2 Leinwänder (30x40cm) und alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen \n• Material: Strukturpaste und hochwertige Acrylfarben von Fleury-Art.ch \n• Die Farben sind nicht so deine? These structural pastes are a wonderful and exciting medium to make your painting more interesting. The element of arts are line\, shape\, form\, space \, color and TEXTURE. The structural paste will give you immediately texture. \nIn this class\, Angelika shows how to work with this medium. Spatula\, knife and paintbrush are the tools and there are different kind of pastes like pumice\, soft gel\, Glas bead gel etc. After you apply this wonderful medium \,you paint with acrylic or even watercolor over it. Enjoy your creativity! \nImportant: This is NOT a step by step guided event\, we would introduce the techniques related to this abstract art\, but there is no guarantee the result will be exactly like the cover painting. \n  \n • No Prior Painting Experience Necessary \n• If there are any beginners\, we will start the event with a short introduction about acrylic painting! \n• 2 Canvas (30x40cm) and all Painting Materials provided and included in the Ticket Price \n• Please note that one of the canvases needs to stay at PaintLounge overnight to dry.
