Mit dem neuen Studio an der Limmatstrasse 73 ist es jetzt endlich so weit. Dort haben wir einen ganzen Bereich des Ateliers dem Action Painting gewidmet\, in dem Ihr Euch sorglos mit Pinseln\, Spritzpistolen und weiteren Utensilien austoben könnt. Unsere Künstlerin startet mit einer kurzen Erklärung von Grundlagen und Techniken und lässt Euch dann direkt an einem ersten Probewerk experimentieren (30 x 40cm Leinwand). Mit der gewonnen Erfahrung geht es dann an Euer zweites Werk auf einer bespannten Leinwand (1 Stk 40x50cm Leinwand inklusive). \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Inklusive Bereitstellung von Schutzkleidung (Maler-Overall\, Schutzbrille). Experience a liberating and creative time-out with Action Painting.\nWe have been wanting to offer you this workshop for quite some time now. With the new studio at Limmatstrasse 73\, it’s finally here. At this studio we have dedicated an entire area of the studio to Action Painting\, where you can let off steam with brushes\, spray guns and other utensils. Our artist will start with a short explanation of basics and techniques and then let you experiment directly on a first test piece (30 x 40cm canvas). After that you can apply what you’ve discovered to your second work on a regular wood-frame canvas (1 pc 40x50cm canvas included). \n  \n • The event is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is required. \n• We provide protective clothing (painter’s overalls\, goggles). Nevertheless we recommend that you do not come in your finest clothing. \n• Please bring a pair of old socks or accept that your socks will be a bit colored. \n•  Included materials: 1 pc. 30x40cm canvas for practice. 1 pc. 40x50cm wood-frame canvas. All paints and utensils. \n• Upgrade Options: Want to create larger artworks or additional ones? Check out our UPGRADE pricelist for action painting. SUMMARY:Alcohol Ink Workshop: Crash of Colors
DESCRIPTION:  \n— Deutsch — \n  \nUnsere Künstlerin zeigt am Workshop wie mit Tinte und Alkohol auf YUPO\, einem aus Plastik recycelten synthetischen Papier\, gemalt werden kann. Tinte reagiert auf diesem ebenen und wasserdichten Papier ganz speziell auf Sprit\, der aus 90% Alkohol besteht. Dieser Vorgang führt zu erstaunlichen Ergebnissen. Genauer zersetzt der Alkohol die Tinte bis in die Pigmente hinein\, wodurch neue Farbnuancen in ein und derselben Farbe auftauchen können. Die flüssige Tinte gemischt mit Alkohol wird durch Wärme und Luft mit einem Föhn oder einem Strohhalm auf der Oberfläche bewegt bis sie ganz getrocknet ist. Dabei entstehen wunderschön leuchtende und etwas durchscheinende Farbschichten. Dieser Vorgang kann kontinuierlich wiederholt werden\, bis die Komposition stimmig wird. Die Oberfläche wird gelegentlich mit reinem Alkohol besprenkelt\, wodurch Formgebungen entstehen\, die an den Kosmos erinnern. \n  \nDies ist nicht ein klassischer PaintEvent für ein bestimmtes Bild mit Schritt für Schritt Anweisungen. Stattdessen wird unsere Kunstlerin diese Technik so erklären\, dass Sie drei eigene Bilder auf YUPO kreieren können und sich vor allem während diesem wunderbaren Prozess entspannen und inspirieren lassen können. \n  \n • Das Event ist für jeden geeignet – es werden keine Vorkenntnisse vorausgesetzt \n• Alle Materialien werden von uns bereitgestellt und sind im Preis inbegriffen \n• Am Schluss hast du 4 Kunstwerke (jeweils bis A4 Grösse) auf Spezialpapier \n• Neu: Wir bieten Schachteln an\, mit denen die Bilder direkt mit nach Hause genommen werden können. Damit bestätigst Du\, dass Du über mögliche Risiken informiert wurdest und eigenverantwortlich auf Schutzmassnahmen verzichtest. \n  \n  \n— English — \n  \nAt the KOSMIC Workshop the artist Anastasia  will show you how to paint with ink and alcohol on YUPO\, a synthetic paper recycled from plastic. Ink reacts on this even and waterproof paper very fascinating to spirit that consists of 90% alcohol. This process leads to astonishing results. More specifically the alcohol decomposes the ink within the pigments\, allowing new shades of color to appear within the same color. The liquid ink mixed with alcohol is being moved by heat and air with a hair dryer or a straw on the surface until it becomes completely dry. This creates beautifully luminous and slightly translucent layers of paint. This procedure can be repeated continuously until the composition becomes harmonious for you. The surface is occasionally sprinkled with pure alcohol creating shapes reminding of the cosmos. \n  \nThis is not a classical PaintEvent for a particular painting with step by step instructions. DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop\nImmerse yourself in the delicate beauty of impressionism at our art painting workshop\, where you’ll create a stunning large-scale canvas featuring a ballerina’s tutu floating ethereally in the air\, surrounded by a vibrant cascade of flowers. The tutu\, a luminous white infused with shimmering pastel hues of pink\, lavender\, and soft yellow\, dances against a dreamy backdrop of light blue and violet. \n In this session\, you’ll embrace the loose\, expressive brushstrokes of impressionism to capture the tutu’s weightless grace and the flowers’ vivid charm—think roses\, lilies\, and daisies in full bloom.  \nUsing acrylics\, you’ll blend colors directly on the canvas to evoke light and movement\, layering the background with gentle sweeps of blue and violet\, then adding the tutu’s iridescent glow and the flowers’ textured petals.  \nIdeal for all levels\, this workshop will guide you through impressionistic techniques to create a large\, breathtaking piece that radiates elegance and floral serenity. Let your brush pirouette and bring this enchanting vision to life! \n\nWhat you will learn:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nLoose Brushwork: Master the impressionistic style with quick\, expressive strokes to suggest the tutu’s airy movement and the flowers’ organic shapes rather than precise details.\nColor Mixing on Canvas: Blend acrylics directly on the surface\, merging light blues and violets for the background and layering pastel pinks\, lavenders\, and yellows into the white tutu for a shimmering effect.\nInterference Color Application: Use interference paints (which shift hues depending on light)  – NEW in the studio – to add a magical\, iridescent sheen to the tutu\, applying them thinly over white to enhance their reflective quality.\nLayering for Depth: Build the composition in layers—starting with a soft wash for the background\, then adding the tutu and flowers—creating a sense of depth and luminosity.\nImpasto Technique: Apply thick acrylic paint with a palette knife or brush to give texture to the flower petals and tutu folds\, mimicking the tactile richness of impressionism.\nWet-on-Dry Blending: Paint over dried layers to define edges softly\, such as the tutu’s outline or flower highlights\, preserving the airy\, dreamlike quality.\nColor Temperature Play: Learn to balance cool tones (blue\, violet) in the background with warm pastel accents on the tutu and flowers\, evoking light and harmony.\nNegative Space Use: Shape the floating tutu and scattered blooms by painting around them\, letting the background colors define their forms in true impressionistic fashion.\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\nNo Prior Painting Experience Necessary. If it’s your very first time painting\, you might wanna calculate a bit more time to finish the painting. Also\, we recommend to skip a detail or two and/or call for assistance when you need!\nStep by Step Instructions\, but you are always welcome to paint something else!\n1 canvas (60x80cm) and all Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price\nMedium: Premium alcohol ink and resin materials .\nLanguage of Instruction: English\nDuration of the Event: ca 4hrs\n\n  \nImportant: For optimal drying process and avoiding any changes to your painting\, we recommend that you leave your artwork in the studio at least overnight and arrange a pick-up time or book our shipping service after the session (up to 40x50cm canvas size\, shipping of larger sizes upon request). \n  \nPlease note: This event will take place only if at least 4 people sign up 48hrs before the event. In case of cancellation\, guests with a ticket will get a notification via email. The ticket can be refunded completely or rescheduled.
