We are thrilled to announce a special workshop with Ana Paz (www.anapazartist.com)!! Ana is an unique artist from Romania, based in Rehetobel, Appenzell. While having a background in engineering, Ana studied Spanish Philology, travelled around the world and spent 2 years in an Ashram. Somewhere along the way, she fell in love with art and pursued this passion ever since. On this Saturday afternoon, she will take the expression „colourful playground“ to another level. Treat yourself with a relaxing afternoon and experience (shiny) acrylic paint in a way you will never forget!
What is Acylic Pouring? Also known as paint pouring, fluid painting, flow art, liquid art.etc. Is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints with a runny (fluid)consistency. The acrylic paints react with each other when combined together to make interesting and visually organic motifs. Fluid acrylics can be used on many types of substrates and in many different forms such as pouring, dripping, swirling, and many other effects. Fluid art opens up a lot of possibilities and is definitely worth exploring. In this course I will teach you:
• What Is Pouring Medium ? • Color Mixing Recipes • Paint Consistency • Choosing the right colors • 3 Different techniques per Workshop (Part 3: coming soon in Dec) • Using a heat gun and why? • Tips On Drying
What’s special about this course is not just the fun of playing with high flow acrylic paint, it’s learning how to work with different mediums and weave more art into your life. My techniques and exercises are geared to helping people reclaim or expand their sense of experimentation, wonder, and fun. You’ll see how making a “little” art all the time will help keep your creative juices flowing.
This is not a typical „guided event“. There will be no step-by-step instructions for a particular painting. Instead, Ana will show you some techniques and tricks and encourage you to paint intuitively and freely.
No prior Painting experience necessary Three canvases (2x 20x20cm, 1x 25x30cm) and all other painting materials are provided and included in the ticket price. Additional canvases & paint are available at the studio (15-30CHF per canvas) Do you like shiny things? We’ve got pearly, silver, copper and golden acrylic Paint! Our Acrylic paint comes from the Swiss Art Supply store fleury-art.com Language of Instruction: English Tea & Coffee included. BYOB („Bring your own beverages“) if you would like to enjoy a beer or wine while painting.
