Doodling on Alcohol Ink 

(also works on old Fluid Painting artworks or just any kind of paper)

Doodle Art itself is a style of drawing by doodling. It looks abstract, there is something that does not contain meaning, but also there are some significant, often resulting works that do not have the correct shape but it looks unique and interesting.

Doodling is fun and non-intimidating. It is something we can all do — and likely have done at some point in our lives. In a way doodle art encompasses all I think making art should be: enjoyable even if it can take a lot of time and effort

There five main styles or types of doodle based art are:

1. Zentangle ® 
2. Zendoodling
3. Stendoodling
4. Mandalas 
5. Doodle Art

The beauty of Doodle Art is that it’s fun and relaxing, can be as large as you like, as complex as you like and finished whenever you like.  It can be a quick form of art, with repetitive elements creating a harmony with as much effort required as you choose.

Making any mark over and over (and over again!) requires focus and a good deal of patience. If you decide to use doodling extensively in an artwork, be sure to remember this. Just because it is a doodle doesn’t mean it doesn’t take effort on the part of the doodler!

Materials:

• any of those: gelly roll (white, silver or gold), fine liner, glitter gel pen
• your alcohol ink artworks or fluid painting artworks 
• any kind of paper
