Acrylics & Mixed Media 

This workshop is a masterclass where you can learn so much about how to create balance through composition, color’s value, marks and textures so at the end you achieve  a harmonious painting. 

Do you want to paint in an abstract style but haven’t got a clue how to begin? Where can you find ideas for great composition?   

Ana Paz will guide you through creating an abstract painting from beginning to end.

We will start with simple shapes and colors but slowly we will build up layers where washes of overlapping transparencies and intersections of color will create new and exciting hues. You can also choose to add a discrete touch of golden leaf.

What you’ll learn 

• How to create different shapes with a beautiful texture
• Building up layers so you can create depth 
• How to create depth using light and shadows
• Different mixed media techniques so you can fill up your shapes with interesting marks
• How to play with the transparency in order to achieve a 3D effect
• How to create different textures so your painting looks rich but not overwhelming
• How to choose the perfect color combination so you have a nice, balanced contrast 
• How and where to add golden leaf

 No Prior Painting Experience Necessary. If it’s your very first time painting, you might wanna calculate a bit more time to finish the painting. Also, we recommend to skip a detail or two and/or call for assistance when you need!  Step by Step Instructions, but you are always welcome to paint something else! 1 big canvases (40×50) and all Painting Materials Provided and Included in the Ticket Price  Medium:Premium Acrylic colors by fleury-art.ch. Important: For optimal drying process and avoiding any changes to your painting, we recommend that you take your painting with you with our recommended package. Alternatively we can also pack it and ship it to you for an additional 15 CHF per parcel (payable at the workshop in cash or TWINT). If you want to take your artwork home right away, that’s definitely also possible but “at your own risk” (needs to be transported as horizontal as possible).

Please note: This event will take place only if at least 4 people sign up 48hrs before the event. In case of cancellation, guests with a ticket will get a notification via email. The ticket can be refunded completely or rescheduled.
