Guided Painting Events
Our guided paint nights are social get-togethers for anyone – no prior painting experience is required! We try our best to create a fun and stress-free environment for you to slow down and let your creativity flow. To help you with this, a glass of wine or a beer is included with most events – non-alcoholic options are of course also available if you prefer to keep your mind as sharp as your sketching pencil.
For each event, we pick a particular painting that we demonstrate step by step. We choose paintings that are suitable for any level and can normally be finished within the duration of the event (see event details). You are always free to customize your painting (different colors, different canvas size, etc). For small groups one artist typically holds the event alone. For larger groups, there will always be at least 2 of us to assist you. Check out our Gallery to see what our past events looked like.
Absolutely, you are completely free to paint whatever you like. We regularly have guests that come to our guided painting events with their own ideas. We are not offended if you don’t follow the suggested painting. However, if the event is busy, the host might not be able to support you with your own painting. For realizing your own ideas we suggest that you also have a look at our open painting sessions.
Awesome – we are always looking for new inspiration! Just email us at:
Our events are guided by a member of our artist team. The events page will always list who the instructor is and give you a link to their website and their work.
The main language for most classes will be English unless everyone in the class is comfortable with German. Song and Nette are both native (Swiss-) German speakers and fluent in English. Other instructors may only speak English. Further details are available on the corresponding events page.
Nope. Everything is provided so that you can directly get started. It’s quite rare, but there is always a small risk that you may get a little bit of paint on yourself. We do provide aprons but they don’t provide 100% protection. We therefore recommend that you don’t wear your fanciest clothes.

Open Painting Sessions
Our open painting sessions are designed for independent painters who want to work on their own projects. You can bring your own materials or buy them at our studio. If you are a complete beginner we recommend you first try out one of our guided painting events.
For open painting sesssions there is no need to buy a ticket in advance but we encourage registrations via email (info@paintevents.ch) as they can help us plan. Especially if you are looking for a particular canvas size please check with us whether we have it in stock. We have space for about 14 painters and it’s first come – first serve.
No, tickets are only required for guided painting events. For open painting sessions you can just show up and “pay as you paint”. At our painting studio we accept cash and credit cards. Space in our studio is limitted – first come first paint. We really appreciate a short email letting us know if you plan to join an open painting session.
No, you are welcome to bring some or even all of your own materials. If you bring all of your own materials we charge a small fee for the use of the space. See our price list for details.
Our price list can be found here.

General
Unfortunately PaintEvents doesn’t have any parking spots but there is a lot of white and some blue zone parking nearby. We recommend the Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof (5 minutes walk).
