Alena Seva

From an early age I felt compelled to create and have always enjoyed drawing and painting. I got my University degree in architecture and visual arts, and then I fell in love with watercolour, and since then I cannot stop exploring this medium.

I work primarily in Wet-on-Wet technique, because in my opinion Wet-on-Wet is what makes watercolour so unique and so beautiful. This is where all the magic happens!

I find my inspiration in nature, it has always been my safe place, it grounds me and reminds me to pay attention and be in the moment. My art is a way to capture the awe and wonder I feel being in nature.

My works are housed in private collections around the world and I give watercolour workshops in the studio and en plein air.
